“The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt
Two Hearts, Tenderly Tangled
Our minds would time-travel now and then,
to moments we invented, just for two.
By choosing joy again and again,
we kept our time together true.
We learned to tangle hearts with care,
not tightly bound, yet deeply shared.
Steadfast, present, and aware,
our hearts open and prepared.
We found a cadence all our own,
no need for cues or counts to set the tone.
Each quiet exchange felt and known,
our days measured time by that alone.
What tangled us was how it drew us in,
the ease of wanting to remain.
We never questioned where to begin,
we simply stayed, and stayed again.
