Navigate, full steam ahead, we explore.

Fascinate, white orchid scent, hearts implore.

Surging tides, romantic beach, perfect port.

Merging lips, my love in reach, cool resort.

Recipe For Hot

Souffle me chocolate every day.

Bouquet wine, cabernet, pour and play.

Sip quickly, more time for our desire!

Grip my heart, fuel the flames, white hot fire.

Drizzle cream, sprinkle snow when lava flows.

Sizzle steaks, fat can drip, write some prose.

Present lips, softly kiss, dance as one.

Invent, admire love’s delights til done.

Passionate Play

Sight of you, my heart melts, quick pulsations.

Stomach quakes, excitement, contemplations.

Tongues tangle, taste delight, still makes us grin.

So much joy, wonderment, such soft sweet skin.

Lips quiver, tender kiss, passionate play.

Take a break, amusement, whipped cream parfait.

Burn some fat, engage abs, feel muscles flex.

Just like that, amazement, 3-D effects!

Eyes twinkle, toes twinge, candlelight fun.

Catch our breath, contentment, together one.

Always know, I promise you romantic days,

Love in sync, commitment, with passion plays.

I just booked a Caribbean cruise and I am pretty excited about experiencing some new adventures and exploring tropical destinations!  This mini-collection of “rhymed couplets” are some of my favorites and are just right for soaking up some summer sun and love!

Until Your Kiss I Savor

Was it captivation or wonder that first

led my heart to you?

Perhaps only fascination with fleeting

thoughts of a chance to pursue.

And with every glance my way,

those tempting eyes softly persuade,

your inviting lips dispute any delay.

Bid me come closer and touch your heart anew,

allow me to delight in the warmth

of your breaths that swirl and stream inside you.

Slow, sweet gentle breaths that excite me,

and draw me to your sumptuous lips as they urge

me to taste your love completely.

On The Day We Met

Hello sweet baby girl

in your silky newborn skin,

with your eyes so beautifully wide awake.

To be sure, facing eternity this early in the day

is not possibly what you expected,

and not necessarily a piece of cake!

I know you can’t appreciate or realize it all quite yet,

just be aware that we noticed

that you accomplished great things today.

Taking fearless first steps,

reaching out and touching those

who will always love you faithfully.

And reminding us,

that we’ll always take the greatest care,

as we journey with you on your way.

Painting You With Words

You never seem to mind when

I splatter you with flattery,

or cover you in a kaleidoscope

of complimentary colors!

You’re the most pleasing palette,

perfectly posed without complaint,

commanding focus and concentration

with no concern for my constraint!

I live to trace your figure

with a deliberate artistic touch,

committing you to memory,

so well versed in every line!

Contemplating every contour,

carefully studying such splendid symmetry,

then composing heartfelt sentiments

in fanciful inventive imagery.

By any definition you’re beyond

most logic and description,

by design I live to paint you

with expressive imagination!

To portray your essential essence

requires no explicit shade or hue,

just colorful strokes of genius brushed

from my admiring point of view.

A note from Chris

I wrote this poem several years ago and I now consider this piece to be my “signature” poem.  I say that to mean that it embodies everything foundational to my inspiration.   I purposely crafted a lot of alliteration into this work and I love the word pictures that are “painted” in the poem.  I know that they continue to excite me and are still so very vivid in my mind’s eye!  And if I am fortunate to publish a book someday….then, yes, this will be the title!

Everyday Excitement

It’s an everyday attraction that will never be denied,

an emotional attachment that made our hearts collide.

There’s a secret admiration that only we can understand.

Yes, we share the same obsessions, yet nothing much is planned.

It’s an everyday occurrence, and we always meet on time.

Even though there’s not a schedule, it happens by design.

This meeting of the minds requires no formal action,

just conversant lips absorbed in soft and warm distraction.

It’s an everyday adventure that exhilarates our way,

with eager anticipation we keep our hearts at play.

Excitement every day that heightens every sense,

it’s no secret every moment is amazing and intense.

It’s an everyday connection that exceeds all expectations,

and every day confirms some most intriguing speculations.

That our love for one another in this time and place,

assures everyday excitement and guarantees our next embrace.

Under Our Starlight Canopy

Star gaze moments

       cosmic wonders

one heavenly night.

Let us marvel

launch lunar flights

Gemini’s in sight!

Creek frogs croaking

green with envy

as we trek our way.

Cozy blanket

kick off our shoes

galactic survey.

Planets align

meteors streak

bodies in motion.

Safe in my arms

soon to be one

utmost devotion.

Celestial orbs

float in deep space

no mission control.

Flashlight in face

“greetings earthlings!”

spoke the park patrol.

Delightful Diversions

Those eyes, your beautiful eyes

that bewitch and enchant me,

are constant delights

in my dreams every night.

Amazing, engaging eyes

appeal for my absolute attention.

I willingly surrender,

without any apprehension.

Playful gleaming glances

from our eyes that never part,

and always seem to ask,

what diversions are deserving

for ambitions of the heart?

You Have to Know!

Such perfect days they were,

       as you were always on my mind.

               So beautifully appealing

                    with your fascinating eyes!

Your irresistible smile, your laughter

kindled intensive intrigue,

       and encouraged faithful ties.

Every day from across the way

your exquisite face shone bright.

You had to know

that I would think of you

most every single night.

Your heart felt always close to me,

then life got in the way.

Some unexpected heartache came,

but in all truth,

you, I could never blame.

And now from across the table

we catch up and remember when.

You had to know

that I loved you so,

even way back then.

Our lives have sped so far ahead

to a content and welcome place.

Any pondered paths not taken,

there’s no need

for us to trace.

A Mutual Kind of Thing

What is this special feeling, this rare connection

that we’ve known and cherished for so long?

Precious and secure, the love abiding in our hearts,

hopeful and persuaded that it’s forever strong.

From first a fondness to a friendship,

I have adored you from the start.

Then came pure and sweet affection,

a long embrace and I offered you my heart.

Our attraction so instinctive,

like second nature you might say.

One gentle, tender touch is all it takes

to sweep ourselves away.

Loving hearts and minds in sync together,

not by chance, but surely by design.

Our intense devotion ruling every realm

as when two brilliant stars align.

   Passionate Play

I Want All of You

I am imagining that there is

nowhere else that you would rather be

than in my arms

making love with me.

I am dreaming of so many nights

when I hold you tight,

and squeeze you tenderly

so softly, yet with all my might.

I am exploring every part of you so carefully,

your every secret exposed to my delight.

As your fingers slide sweetly into mine,

I want all of you to myself tonight.

Certain that we will cherish our love

as warm tears flow

and the night goes by

Moonlight’s Rhapsody

Twilight falls, your eyes beckon, cool evening breeze so slight.

White lace curtains, faintly flutter, two amorous hearts delight.

Hide and seek moon, focus on you, brilliant star attraction.

Our soft lips play, fine cabernet, flavors each chain reaction.

Mischievous grin, warm silken skin, your safely in my embrace.

Snuggle sweetly, let’s reminisce, enchanting escapades retrace.

Our crescent moon, advises more time, patient gentle affection.

Candlelight dies, dreams soon arrive, content in love’s perfection.

A note from Chris

My latest poem, in rhymed couplets.  This poem was inspired in part by a 100 year old homestead near my home. It is a very stately two-story large farmhouse. I have always wondered about the several generations of the family and what it must have been like to have lived and loved there. There is a beautiful upstairs bedroom with big windows and white lace curtains looking out on the grounds with large stately trees.  That is how it all began and this is the result. I hope you enjoy my latest poem project!

Life Matters

Space matters, I’m rather certain!

For I fear that it could be

a vexing vast expanse,

that separates me

from your touch.

A cold continuum conspiring,

to keep me from your love.

Touch matters, I am positive!

For I live to delight in your embrace,

to caress each essential element

and specific particle of you.

Your essence forever hopeful,

shining love and radiant light

warming every part of me.

Love matters, it’s perpetually true!

For I believe it is a miracle,

perhaps divine intervention,

when love convinces you to make

that quantum leap of faith.

Faith to trust and journey onward

to new worlds and light years to explore.

Life matters, as a matter of fact.

For I am persuaded that it is perfectly so!

Clear Sailing

The sunny breezy ocean winds

raced playfully across the seas today.

And beckoned us to navigate,

to some perfect place without delay.

We charted the course, set our sails and

jaunting skillfully we cruised away.

And on this voyage that we’ve set about,

our hearts, with heated passion,

lovingly while away the day.
