He Said
Our precious love keeps growing
in this treasured, sheltered place.
I close my eyes and instantly
you’re in my strong embrace.
Your gleaming eyes constrain me,
delighting in every focused fond attention.
I’m convinced you are omnipotent and
that you trust my heart’s intention.
Your smile, forever radiant,
energizes our close connection.
Ever hopeful, it persuades us to
express our most excellent affection!
My lips seek out your fragrant neck
as I slowly kiss you tenderly.
And of course, I can assure you,
you are not in any jeopardy!
A note from Chris
This is part of a duet poem and very soon we shall hear from the other half – “She Said” ! Also, I am very grateful to my guest artist, Ronnie Biccard, for her permission to use her painting “Zanzibar” along with my original poem for this post. Ronnie just recently moved to Cheltenham, England from her native South Africa. You can learn more about Ronnie and her art on her blogsite and gallery! Also see her Flickr Stream here!

Romantic and lovely! I can’t wait to hear ” She said ”
very cool…so is she actually writing it or are you writing it for her…would be cool to perform a duet piece with another poet….as usual, nice sensuality…
This is such a romantic poem! I love what “He Said” I can’t wait to hear what “She Said” Great love expression, Chris.
