A Most Romantic Interlude

Patiently we waited for that

perfect place and time,

however structured or spontaneous,

we knew it’d be sublime.

Not wanting any of the passion

and heat to subside,

only trusting that our love

would unequivocally preside.

In sync with the gentle rhythm

of your heart as we embrace,

my mind delights as you tantalize me

in your delicate red lace.

Enamored with your silken skin

and warm soft sighs

it’s you I desire most tonight,

as you melt into my eyes!

A note from Chris

I would think those  “perfect place and time” moments between two people in love would, by default, be their most memorable and cherished moments!   The beauty of this photo of the Aurora Boreallis from Bear Lake, Alaska is also unbelievably beautiful.  It would be quite memorable if we were able to observe this same phenomenon in person don’t you think?  I hope there is some correlation of beauty and grace in my pairing for this post.  Please leave a comment and tell me what you think.  The photo is used with my grateful regards under Creative Commons licensing from Beverly & Pack’s Flickr photostream.

Also I have submitted this poem for the d’Verse Poets Pub ~ Open Link Night ~ Week 38
